Our Clients Say
There is so much I love about the Actor's WorkHouse. Firstly, Duane. Period. Duane brings a professional Los Angeles training and experience background. He's done everything from Shakespeare to Broadway musicals, to television. His IMDb page boasts a long list of wide and varied credits. Secondly, Duane really cares about the success of his students and takes a well rounded approach to teaching that addresses all learning modalities. Thirdly, I love the space. It's comfortable, cozy, homey, and safe (with plenty of parking!). I also appreciate the guest presenters Duane brings in such as Keith Reay from Second City Hollywood. My favorite classes, by far, are the biweekly on camera classes. I'm a very visual learner and when I can actually "see" my performance, I "see" Duane's directing and coaching and how it applies specifically to my work. Best of all...Duane offers all of this at about a quarter of what I pay in Los Angeles for similar training. Thank you Duane Daniels and The Actor's WorkHouse!!

I credit Duane for all these casting results! He patiently and yet unrelentingly coached me for my auditions. I will have been in three plays this year-all within a year of starting studying with Duane!
Duane brings out the best in each of his students and tailors his coaching to each individual's needs and level. He is kind, warm, caring, gentle and sensitive, while at the same time he motivates his students to reach their full potential. His 'Workhouse Technique/'Duaneisms' and inspirational passion effectively help the actor get to the essence of the story being told and the most powerful way to tell the story.
To anyone considering acting-whether a beginner, intermediate or experienced performer, Duane is far and away your go-to-guy for coaching. (He also coaches privately, including coaching singing.)

I have been lucky to study with Duane at the Actors Workhouse for over 2 years. Recently I had an appointment for an audition. I reviewed the sides, shot my video, focused on my character brain and used several other AW techniques to prepare. I felt great going into my audition.
About 24 hours after my audition I received an email from the director, “Hi Tonya, We really enjoyed the chance to audition you yesterday, and you totally knocked it out of the park.” And I got the part!
Thank you Duane. The AW techniques have been invaluable to me. Work hard. Get better!

Great Experiences
"Duane Daniels is the most provocative and empowering acting teacher I have ever encountered. His instincts. insights and advice are tools that the actor can utilize as tangibly as a hammer and nails."
Mike Watkiss - Senior Reporter at Phoenix TV Station KTVK - Actor
"Upon returning to theatre and acting after a four year hiatus, I knew I needed some help from an expert. I reached out to Duane about private coaching and he was able to fit me in on a bi-weekly basis. We work on monologues, music, theory, style, building my repertoire, and preparation for auditions. Although I was an experienced actress before meeting with Duane, he has really helped me grow to a higher level of thinking as an actress and human being. His relaxed approach is conducive to an organic learning environment where I can experiment in ways I never have before. I now use Duane's lessons for every audition and acting opportunity, and I continue to develop my skills through his guidance. Most importantly I have been empowered and truly learned my value as an artist. Through classes or private coaching, Duane will transform any actor into the artist they always wanted to be."
Kim Richard - Artistic Director, A/C Theatre Company
All I did was use the techniques you taught me along the way. To hear people say it was "great" or the producer saying "diamond in the rough." What they don't know is that I had help.
